ZMEIKA FALLS

River is called Zmeika (Snake) either for very winding riverbed or for the name of the closest Zmeika Mountain. Its another name Dikarka (Wildgirl) was given to it by the first colonists.

Riverbed has rocky banks, rapids, troughs, wide stony plaques, and a cascade of the amasingly beautiful waterfalls. First 2-cascade fall is 30 m high. River turns roughly left after the second fall and flows through the smooth stone trough with 3-cascade fall at the end. Small picturesque bowl 10 m in diameter is under the fourth fall.

You should take the bus No.120 and hip off on the Zmeika Faterfalls bus stop, then cross the main asphalt highway and go down the concrete road. Sochi National Park ticket window will be in 350 m.
